Dumb stuff'

Haven't been here in awhile. Raced with the Porsche Club recentley. Can't really go south with SCCA for logistical reasons, & financial. Anyway, I ran over my Targa Top on Sunday. On Camarillo airfield. Need some suggestions on a $'replacement. Hope this pic works'

You're local SoCal. Have you tried Craigslist? Under Auto Parts, I've seen C4 tops going for about $400

This guy has a wide variety of parts. Here's a top for $495, NOS. Obviously, you don't have a core, but he's got some used ones for sale too.

Id get a good used one before one of those refurbished units any day of the week unless you dont mind spending the money

Look on ebay. I got one once for $250 from somebody that traded their car and kept the glass top.

I wish I were driving the turbo-prop job. We had a fun day on Camarillo airfield. It was sponsored by the Santa Barbara Porsche Club. They created a very technical & difficult AutoCross course. I was smoked by Lisa Severy in her 86 Corvette. But she is also one of the fastest in the country. And had the advantage of doing many extra laps as driving instructor & new Kumho V710's. Anyway it was a fun day, except the part where I drove over my Targa Top. It was tight parking on the tarmack .. My cooler & top were under the front end. Didn't see em'. Next time I will put up a Corvette Flag' .. I think our 2 86's had fast time .. I know Lisa had fast time for sure, so anyway, thanks for suggestions for new top. I definitely cannot afford new $1200' .. Still the most fun ever! There is price for racing.
