ac pipe foam insulation

I noticed under the hood a couple of tubes/pipes that have lost their foam insulation covering.

One tube appears to be rubber and the other is metal. I've been searching around to replace the insulation only. Anyone know if it's important that I replace this insulation?

I don't think the foam is all that important. Mice made a nest with mine years ago, and the A/C still works like new.
