Default Clicking Continued...

So i decided to do the job myself in Auto Class after realizing I have no money  So far we have got the entire exhaust sytem down. And Monday/Tuesday we care going to inspect the U-Joints between the trans and the Differential. If those are still solid I am screwed and will need to bring the car to a Transmission place. So keep your fingures crossed for U-Joints. My Teacher and myself are worried becasue when we rotate the wheels we can hear a soft clicking from the transmission. When we looked up and service bullitins all the AllData Computer...It did have one concerning a clicking noise. The fixed sound way to easy anyway (spraying a lubricant on some part) . So right now who knows and my baby is sleeping 7 feet off the ground at school all weekend...Why is it so nice out when i don't have the vette???

I had a clicking coming from the rear of my 95, after changeing the hubs/bearings and the U-joints and brakes, the clickin is still there.

After talking with C4 Engineer Jerry Watts, he tells me the noise is normal, what it is,is the brake pads sliding in the caliper.

If your noise is coming from the tranny, then obviously, something else is up.

Why did you take the exhaust down for U-joints?

So we could get to the ujoint right after the trans.

Driveshaft u-joints need the exhaust pulled. If the noise is from the front of the driveshaft, a safe bet would be trans or front driveshaft u-joints rather than half-shaft u-joints. Just a guess....

Ahh yes, I was assuming you were going to just do the halfshafts.
