help with picking tires
I am looking to get new wheels 18 x 9.5 what size tires would anybody recommened. i have a 96 ce vert would like to go a little bigger in the back. please help me out im not sure how wide i could go on a 9.5 wheel and still look ok. thanks

I recently put 18x9.5 on the rear of my vette, I went with 285-35-18, you could probably pull off a 295, but I dont know how safe that would be. as for the front I'm not too sure, maybe a 275-40-18.

Are your stock rear tires 285/40-17 now?
If so, then 285/35-18 would be a good choice.
This size is as close as your going to get to the overall diameter of the original tires.
You want to stay as close as possible to the original diameter.
285/40-17 = approx. 25.97" diameter
285/35-18 = approx. 25.85" diameter

So, I wouldn't use that size tire on a 9.5" rim.
