I want to rotate my tires, back to front, front to back...no crossing.
I have gry plastic covers, i think over each lug.
1) How to I remove covers.
2) Will a standard lug wrench work.
3) Do I have to remove center caps?
I don't have a corvette lug wrench.
I will jack up one side at a time with jack and then stands, swap back to front, repeat.
I may as well start cleaning suspension parts as long as the wheels are off.
The exterior of the lug nuts have threads on it to which the plastic covers simply screw onto. The lug size of the plastic covers is the same as the metal lug nuts to which they are affixed so you can use the lug wrench that came with your car. You don't need to remove the center caps. Make sure your front and rear wheels/tires are the same size before swapping. I believe early C4s are. I know my 94 came equipped with a 8.5" wide up front and 9.5" rear wheel making front/rear swaps not possible. When reinstalling the plastic covers just make them snug - don't go overkill or the plastic may strip.

, but you don't have to use the wrench that came with the car. A regular socket is fine.
Remember to torque the metal lug nuts to 100 ft. lbs.
A 3/4" or 19mm socket fits both the covers and the lugnuts. Torque them to 100 ft lbs as said, leave the covers off, drive it for 50-100 miles and retorque. You sure you have the same size tires front and rear?
Do you have a locking lug nut on each wheel? Make sure you have that socket as well.
And don't torque that puppy one iota more than you have to....nothing worse than a locking lug that refuses to come off.....as you sit by the side of the road with a flat and traffic whirring past you at 80 mph.
