Clunk sound...
When ever I am slowing or coming to a stop it sounds like a clunk coming from right rear of the car. It doesn't do it all the time. Just wondering what it could be any suggestions? My dad a former GM mechanic (retired) didn't seem to think it was the u-joints...

Check all of your suspension bushings first, including sway bar bushings. Unless they've been replaced, after 26 years, they are mush. Here's what they looked like on my 84

if your car is automatic, while stopped shift between drive and reverse a couple times. If you hear it clunk, it's a u joint for sure.
