Accelerator cable "fix-it"
My cable is stretched, therefore I'm not getting WOT when fully depressed. I used 3 zip ties to take up the slack until my new cable come in.
With the zip ties, theres a small hole just above the thing that rotates next to the TB when the pedal is depressed, I used one zip to go thru the hole, thn another around the end of the cable "lock lug", the another arond both to tighten them dowm. Works like a charm.
I don't trust it rigged so I removed my "fix-it". The rigged cable moves freely with no binding. I was just worried if I get into an accident and someone finds out I rigged the cable, that could be problems.
New cable will be here in a week so it'll be OK...$40.
Old cable was stretched so I was getting maybe 60% throttle, with it rigged I'm getting maybe 85% throttle...nice way to improve HP...lol.
Now I'm curious how much labor will be?
