I bought this 1985 a couple of weeks ago. I have been finding excuses to drive her around ever since. My wife was a little peeved with me, but could see how much I loved it, and even she had to admit that it looked pretty nice. Since then, she has no problem falling into it, or climbing out of it, herself. I gave her a wax job, today. I used Meguiar's NXT Generation Tech Wax 2.0. It was pretty easy to work with, and did a pretty nice job. Nothing like waxing your car to give you a chance for a nice close look. She is showing some signs of her age, but her striking, classic, beauty is still very evident. I am lookinf forward to a trip to Ruidoso, NM, this weekend. I tried posting pictures, but I guess my membership doesn't allow that. I hope that I can link to my website, when they are uploaded. I know that you folks have seen a plain vanilla 85 Corvette before, but she is purty. They are at the very bottom of the page.
You'll find the perverts that inhabit these pages love Vettes and we love looking at em all......especially the white ones, they are the fastest and the best handling.
Thank you, for getting the pictures up for me. I know she isn't all racy looking. She's more like an All-American girl, but she does have class, and really nice curves. As for the wax job, it made her slippery. She still needs to be rubbed a bit more, to make her gleam just a little more brightly. lol I better quit while I'm not too far behind. Oh, and my wife thinks she looks nice and clean, and shiny like a new penny.
Kyyote....are you in El Paso? Looks like the Franklin mountains in the background.....so either West or Northeast? If so, let us know when you want to take a group run somewhere.....as long as you don't mind hanging out with a bunch of old goats, a couple of which are C5 guys.
Very nice indeed! One suggestion I did to mine was put the clear plastic paint guards on instead of the black mud flaps. They look like mudflaps, only smaller and completely clear. Most of the Corvette supply companies sell them. They look great as they don't take away from the body lines of the car the way mud flaps can. They work very well in keeping dirt and chips from happening to the rocker panels. Either way it looks beautiful in all original stock form.
