After about 5 mins of driving (everything normal). It will Misfire, and run rough, acts like its gonna die. In addition sometimes when its in this mode it will crank but not start, let sit 2min fires right up. Any suggestions we tried to test it however car would not register? Engine service light is on when its in this mode.

Have you checked your fuel pressure when it's misfiring? If it's good you need to look at spark, may be too weak.

Then it stored a trouble code -- get that read and you're half way to solving the problem.

Could be a whole lot of things, if I had to take a SWAG I'd suspect a fuel issue first - bad pump or plugged filter.

Ok, pull the codes - they are stored. Lots of posts on how to do this with a paper clip.

We need the codes to help you - without them we are just guessing.
It can be lots of things from the Coolant temp sender to the opti.

Where are you? There may be a member close by that can help out.

Similar issue with my 92. turned out to be a fuel regulator.

A word of caution and please do not take offense to my comments, but if you are not sure what you are doing, have qualified mechanic look at it. There is a lot of good info and car savvy guys on the CF, but I didn't know what I didn't know.

I pulled the codes and it pointed to the ECM. I replaced the ECM. it was not plug an play and that was not the problem. I ended up having it towed to a shop. it was hydro locked from trying to start it. Had to have the plugs replaced, oil changed, ECM programmed and regulator replaced. bottom line, between the wasted purchase of an ECM, I dumped close to a $1k on a problem that should only have cost me a couple of hundred.

Good luck.
