Default C4 Museum bash

Just got back from the C4 Bash. Lot of very nice zr1's celebrating their 20th anniversary. Met a lot of great vette people!

During a seminar for the zr1 engine, Mark Haebeck (spelling?) said he no longer recommends Mobil 1 oil, as the phospherus level has been cut back due to possible damage to catalytic converters. He feels this may be a long term problem due to the flat tappets in the zr1 engine. He prefers Amsoil 10/40 due to price, but said Red Line and Royal Purple is ok also.

I REALLY wanted to go this year but some medical problems forced me to stay in the area. Was scheduled for surgery this weekend but they put it off till the next one.
I plan on making the trip next year.
Did you go to the Gordon Killebrew seminar?

Hi Dan,
I met you Saturday morning at the Corvette Museum. [Jim ZR-1 owner from Ft. Wayne]. I wish I had gone to the ZR-1 seminar, I thought it was booked full with pre-registered people.
Glad you and your wife had a safe trip home, I'll be back again next year, [with my wife and ZR-1 next time], register for more events, and stay for more than just one day].:

Hello Jim,

I really enjoyed meeting with you. Lets both plan on driving our cars next year, and take our wives out for dinner. We can form our own little "road tour".

Go here for pictures. Lots there. http://zrwon.com/gallery/bg10/index.html

Three 89 pilot cars were displayed, one 88 and one 86 (graveyard car). Most pre-release ZR-1's ever displayed together.
