What do you think of this interior idea?
I'm thinking of painting my 94 medium silver metallic with a light silver GS type stripe with a red outline. I want to bring some red in the interior as well, But don't want a complete red interior.
So what do you think of this photoshop I made? How do you think it would look in real life with the red and gray??
(BTW: Sorry for the bad photoshop work. This is the 1st thing ive ever successfully done with it.)
Brighter red
Paint idea.

Thanks man, It took me forever to pick a paint color and style I want.
Ive spent 8 months looking for the perfect color(s) I want. This time I'm going to sleep on it for a week or two before buying. Ive already spent $600 on two gallons of base coat I no longer want to use.

Not a bad first time photoshop!
Personally, I think you need some silver in the door panel. It just seems like a mismached interior with the red and black door then the black, silver, and red interior (IMO).
I like the stripe tying into the whole color scheme!

This is what the seats would look like.
Witch looks better, The dark red or the bright red??
I think the darker red would look better with the darker silver.
I agree, Ive been tring to figure out a way to keep some of the gray on the door panels and can't think of a way to do it.
Im open to ideas if anyone has one.

Youre right the darker red looks more tasteful. I dont like red interiors either yet have one on another car, its all about the right shade complimenting the paint, you can pull it off. Think the scheme would look good. You could do the underdash in a matte (non shiny) type leather, just an idea. Gray could be Ok on door panels but being as the dash/console is black you could probably leave as is and it would look fine.
hate choosing colors, came down to black...and Summit GM white .Noone would paint the car black so white it was.
A yr later and saw a shade of silver I fell in love with lol. It never ends...
Enjoy

What about if I reverse it like this?
(BTW the picture of the car is from the forum gallery. I made the dark gray a bit lighter shade, and added the red stripes.)

I'll offer a cheaper route. How about going with red mats and shifter boot.
$200 compared to $2000 +...
Mine was all black before. Not now.

JMO.
Exterior colors & stripes are spot on.
I like understated interiors that do not take away the visual impact of the exterior. Example: A black car with a white interior. While viewing the vehicle your eye is drawn to the white interior. That splash of white breaks up the body lines.
That being said, IMHO nothing in the interior needs to match the red pinstripe as its an accent line for the exterior color break.
My first choice for the interior would be all black.
Second choice would be black carpet, silver/gray seats with black bolsters & whatever silver/gray may be on the factory door panels except for the carpeted area on the bottom of the door panel which would be black. The hush panels could remain silver/gray to tie the dash to the seats & door panels.
The above is just an opinion & is not intended to reflect negatively on anyone having a a vehicle with a dark exterior & light colored interior.

I like the first idea, should look real sharp. This is JMO but I like the bright red, the dark red looks dirty & worn. Keep us up to date.

The first one looks good to me. But I would use the second picture for the seats only. With that said.
I would go with johnnymo63's idea personally.
Black and red steering wheel cover. Shifter boot and Red floor mats and red cargo mat. then I would take it from there if I needed or wanted something different. Maybe a red /Black or gray seat covers.
It wouldn't be so permanent and you could change it if you wanted.
But anyway you decide I'm sure it will look good!

With that exterior, I would do all black interior- get rid of the gray (won't match, will be close enough to clash)- and then add red double stiching to the shift boot, seats and center console (custom cover). Maybe a Silver with Red C4 logo on the headrest. If you're going to spend more $$- do the same on the door panels. The Red you're photoshopping is too big of an area for a 2 tone silver car, great for a red car.
but that's just me.
