If you don't have to pass a smog test go ahead, and put it on. performance wise probably wont help a whole lot, but it does free up space in the engine compartment.

I bought my car with the delete kit already installed. I live in OK where there are no emissions tests. I have had zero problems. You probably wont notice a big difference but if you do several small things it can add up pretty quick. In the end its a little less drag on the engine as well as a few less pounds to haul around.

Cleaning up the place the engine lives is the only reason to install the kit. You will not be able to tell the difference with the hood closed.

I had no problems passing emissions tests here. It helps unclutter the bay IMHO.

As long as your car is up to operating temperature when you take the emissions test it should pass.. The Air Pump only works at startup..WW

Why do you want to do this, it isn't going to make any difference. Infact your cat will last longer with it by not having it recieve such a rich mixture at a cold start.

Install it and remove all associated piping, bracketry, and vacuum solenoids. No computer adjustments necessary. No discernible gain in HP but you saved a couple of pounds and cleaned up the left side of the motor a little. Its kinda the first step on the road to modding your car.

Good luck and have fun with it!

Mines been off for a couple years now. I made my own kit. Of course, I had access to a mill and lathe. It looks like it came that way. I also cut off the A.I.R. tubes on the manifolds and welded the holes shut. You can't tell I did that, either. All the hoses, solenoids, etc. are also gone. All of it is sitting in the corner of the shop, ....just in case. With the roller valve train swap and the injector modifications, it runs pretty good.

Mine has been off for years, along with the AIR piping and EGR systems.

Its a mod to clean up the engine compartment, it doesnt give you any power back. The pulley on the AIR spins pretty freely already.
