It was in the upper 80s and humid when I was there but the shop was liveable.
The deal with high humidity is low moisture evaporation from the skin; moving air from a fan is the simplest way to combat that.

Of course ceiling insulation and a nice heat pump is the high end ticket.

Portable heat, AC, and dehumidifier. Haven't tried the A/C yet but it heated my wood shop pretty well over the winter and wheels around very nicely!
What's the brand name and model?

I have a 3 car garage and keep it around 75 to 80 with a window unit. Trees around the garage blocks some of the sun light which helps a lot.

The heat in the garage at times reaches over 110. I let the Vette cool for several hours prior to working on it. Also use a large room fan to circulate the air and get the hot air out. For $100.00, a portable air condictioner is a great idea.

You got one heck of a deal. The lowest price I could find
on the current version (AZHP12D2A) was $349.

Oh don't I know it! My nephew ordered 6 and got the last 4.
I was surprised by the price myself. It was basically a wholesaler's end of season clearance.
