When I bought my 89 3 years ago, it had a new Interstate Battery in it. It sticks out like a sore thumb!
I have looked in every aftermarket catalog I know of for a black cover but no luck. I don't want the chrome or polished stainless. Does anyone have a picture of a black cover they bought or even made? Thanks.
I haven't done this, but maybe the lid from a marine battery case (usually red and clear) could be fashioned to work and painted in matching black. These can be found at Wally World, or any place that sells batteries.
I think I am going to attempt something homemade to cover the battery. I will post some pictures of what I come up with even if the end result looks like it should be in a Mustang. Joe, If I had the money you think I have, I would buy a green Corvette for you but it would have a red top battery in it.
