I've been tossing around the idea of hash marks for some time now and wish I'd done it earlier.
Matte black
It's not your standard GS stripe sizing either. I really like the Ron Fellows sizing so I went with that look. I may even make some for the passenger side. ..
I added a very slight contour to the corners on top (hardly noticeable and not that they needed it) but it looks better that way up close.
I like them. I'd probably do ones on the other side. Usually I'm not a fan of matte black unless the car is into rat rod territory or if it's decal like this or in the case with lots of Mopars.
Did hash marks only come on GS, or could they be ordered on any C4? What about any other striping?

Now this is just what I read the other day but to my understanding, hash marks were used in '63 on the Corvettes on the track to tell one car from the other (feel free to correct me if someone knows better) and then in 96' on the GS cars and the Ron Fellows cars has the marks too. The only 3 cars I know of that have them. I'm interested to see if any other cars have them from OEM.
My wife thinks I should do them on her side too (for attention) god bless her sweet little boozum.
To my knowledge they were not an option on cars other than the mentioned ones. Any other striping? I suppose anything is possible. I make vinyl decals for a living so if you have an idea, I may be able to help you out. I've done a TON of stuff for C4, C5 and C6, and ZO6 cars to name a few...
As far as customs though I'd be curious to see some with the GS scheme but in different colors.
That would be neat to see some different colors actually on cars. I suppose a guy could superimpose some on an image for a general idea. I've always wondered how some metallics would look. I just got some dark gunmetal metallic in and I almost went with that but fell in love with the matte.
Very cool! But don't do the other side! Just leave them on the drivers side as they were originally designed. I've always thought they looked weird on both sides. Even the Ron Fellows ZO6 doesn't look right with the stripes on both sides to me.

I have to agree. I do like just the one side.
