Default Has anyone tried to get antique insurance for their early C4?

I contacted my regular insurance company, State Farm, and they said they only take cars for antique policies if they have been restored.
The interior has been redone but the paint is shot. Im hoping to get it repainted at some point but don't have the cash atm. Anyone have good experiences with antique insurance companies that they can recommend? With the paint in the shape its in I drive the car less than 200 miles a year so thats not a problem.

thx!

Mine is through Sneed, Robinson and Gerber, and I insure all my "classic" cars thru them. My 85 vette is 90 bucks every 6 months for an agreed cash value of 8,000 and they know its a work in progress.. I also have the 38 dodge and the 69 javelin with them, the only limitation is it cant be your daily driver.

I've had "Classic" car insurance on my 85 C4 since I bought it 5 years ago. I went with Hagerty and their agreed value coverage. I pay $225 a year for a value of $10K. The major restriction for this type of insurance is you cannot use the car as your daily driver, you have to have at least one other car that you use.

Really? That's sad to hear, as I just renewed my policy with them!! And, yes, my policy does say Sneed. They also, for the first time, offer an option (additional cost) to be able to drive ur car to work, twice a week, with full coverage. Agreed value $25,000 -$500/year. Can't beat it.

There is a discount if you are a NCM Member...Sometimes it is a wash....Are you currently a NCM Member?

What he is saying is that his insurance and the cost of NCM Membership cost less than $300.....

We use the same underwriter that Sneed did....American Modern Insurance Group, or in TX Consumers....

We offer that plan too!

Absolutely-sorry I wasn't more clear. The competitive rates AND the fact that it helps support the NCM made it a no brain-er for me
