Maybe it's me and getting older, but there seems to be more crazy stuff like this happening everyday!

I've had a license to carry for a while now and have been thinking that it's about time. to start carrying all the time.........Not to initiate, but solely to protect those that you love!

Why my Colt rides shotgun with me. Lots of freaky people down on the coast these days since Katrina. I spend about two weeks a month down there with my job and have seen a lot of crazy sh^t go on that used to not happen, or at least as often.

This is real simple....Get away when possible, don't initate confrontation. When pursued, try logic and reason next if possible. When logic and reason fail, force follows.

Well today when the show ended in Mobile my dad and i decided to go down and visit Dolphin Island beach and see the oil. We had fun and got to eat some good seafood. When we left heading towards the MS coast a guy in a little Pontiac was riding my bumper really closely. When i went to turn he clipped the corner of my car and he took off. I followed him and pulled up next to him, down the road, to confront him and before i could get stopped he rolls down his window and yells out "YOU GOT A F.....ING PROBLEM" and starts shooting. He got off three or four shots before i could take off, one hit the car but didn't penetrate the body.

While it was happening i looked over and saw my dad curled up in a ball and I'm freaking out thinking that he has been shot. That was when i realized my arm was bleeding. We pulled over about a half a mile down the road and got out and looked and realized how close it was to hitting one of us. We called 911 and they sent out a Mobile county sheriff to help us.
I ain't been that scared in my life.
Guess the lord was watching out for us
Also wont be visiting Mobile Alabama any time soon ever again

Moral of the story
be careful, you never know what some crazy people will do. DRIVE CARFULLY

Not me just posting up to makeing easy for reading.

I was wondering what I would have done in that situation myself. Seems harmless enough to track them down and confront them. But after this I doubt I would. Well I know I wouldn't but I would go get their license plate number most likely.

The world has gone totally friggin nuts. I could go into the fixes but it would be moved to PR&C. A start would be to quit paying tax dollars that allows people to become thugs!

A car (that should be insured) isn't worth dying over. It also isn't worth killing someone and potentially drawing a prison sentence over. If I'm pursued and threatened, it's game on, and I'm not concerned with legalities or anything other than survival. Otherwise, let the insurance companies do something worthwhile.

Karma will catch up to this peckerhead.....and maybe the next guy whose car he hits and then runs will take it upon himself to rid the gene pool of this ******.....Meantime, I'd have my car fixed and get on with life.

Just my take on things.

Nobody knows what they will do until they're faced with the situation. Then instinct for survival and training take over. I ran a gang unit for several years chasing down these types and had 4 combat tours in my 28 years of service in the Army. I dont know what I would do if faced with this with a family member in the car, but its always safe to keep your options open and always try and get the tag number. Sooner or later these types will run across somebody who has had enough and I just hope the innocents stay safe.
