i did it to decrease the wheel gap and have a more aggressive stance, but lowering the center of gravity will decrease body roll. rides really good still, even better actually and looks awesome
You mean you took off the entire outer spring perch? That's ballsy...I cut mine in half and shaved the wedges 1/16. I ended up at 26 1/16 up front. What height you at in the pic?
I like it though...looks good...sits like it should. Unfortunately I have to move in order to be able to go lower. I scrape the resonator just barely as I come out of my garage as it sits now. Gotta move, so I can go down another 1/2" and have it really sit where I want.
thanks guys! the outer end perches are still there, i didnt use the wedges that came in the kit, just left a very small layer of rubber to insulate the spring. i also didnt trim the aluminum bracket either.

how much did it cost you to do that? where did you get the stuff to do it?
i bought the kit from mid america motorworks for $39, the front has replacement wedges for the spring, and longer adjustment bolts for the rear. i did the work myself, i didnt end up using the parts for the front, just removed the original spring perches and reinstalled. the front took me about 5 hrs (incl lots of scrubbing the suspension clean and a few smoke breaks) and the rear about 15 minutes. now that ive done it if i hustled i could have had it done in about 2.5 hrs removing the rubber from the front spring was the worst part of the whole job, its sort of like cutting through a tire. im glad i got familiar with the suspension though, it was my first time working on a corvette suspension
