front speaker not working

front speaker not working
Need your help,
front passenger speaker is not working
I removed and tested but it is not the speaker
I noticed a silver box were the wires from the radio
comes in and then goes to speaker
do you know if this has caused problems
is it easy to remove, looks like I would have to remove the
whole door panel , what is this unit called and is it expensive
your advise is appreciated

Having problems myself... figured i'd chime in if you guys are talking Bose...
My speakers sound blown with little or no sound coming out of them. sometimes its front, sometimes back. I realized last week that if i toggle or even hold in the DNR button, full output returns. Seems to be worse on warm days and can just cut out all together.
Could this be a bad switch in the headunit? hoping its an easy fix in swapping a component or maybe even being able to bypass the switch..
Any insight?
