When I first signed in, the C5 was on top and the evil step sister towards the C4.
Then came the C6. Within a few months the C5 guys where starting to feel less than desirable.
We here in C4 had the pleasure of watching them cry and pout as the C6 crew gave them a taste of their own treatment.
All kidding aside, WTF difference does it make which one you like?
Both in our club and in our weekly "hang out" group, if you drive a vette - any vette - you are family. But, when some people get "on-line" there seems to be an irresistible urge to get diarrhea of the mouth (fingers).
Over the years, I've owned 3 C-3s, 2 C-5s and, I currently have a C-6 and just recently got a C-4. Every time I drive it, I am amazed at how sophisticated the C-6 is. It's comfortable, it has plenty of power and, it handles super. But, sometimes, I fell like it's too sophisticated. It's an automatic with paddle shift. I absolutely love driving the C-4. It's a six speed and just feels more "manly" - like a sports car should feel.

I totally agree. I don't know why some people online feel the need to trash ANY generation of a corvette. Many people will never know what it's like to drive one of these vehicles, and i for one am greatful that i am fortunate enough to own one. America's only sportscar!
Interesting. I didn't see anyone actually trashing a C4. (maybe a couple childish remarks) I did however see some personal preferences that seemed normal and realistsic to me.
You could also really tell the Corvette/Car guys from the wantabes!
Even at the track... They are pretty darn close....
Way back when my car was still stock I raced several C5's. I don't ever remember loosing to one. Driver error I guess. I was running mid 13's at the time.
