I'm back!

The F150 got me there and back in comfort but I suffered from "Corvette withdrawal" something bad!A few highlights - the company put me up in an apartment and I knew from previous trips a nearby homeowner had a C-6. One evening I came home from work and saw about 6 or 8 Corvettes in front of the house! I showered up and wandered over and found it's a fairly new club, Western Oklahoma Corvette Club. They were most gracious and invited me in for burgers and Corvette talk which I really appreciated. Their Prez even drives a C-4! Some very nice folks and great hospitality.
True to my prediction before I left, I had to watch some others having fun. Friday I was eastbound through Missouri on I-44, and as usual to pass the time I was keeping track of Vettes I saw by generation. Somewhere about mid-state I saw a C-6 - then a C-5, then....then...realized it was a posse of about 12-14 Vettes all headed west. Dunno if any of them wondered about the guy waving wildly out the window of a pickup, but I had to "save the wave" despite not being in a Vette myself.
The wife drove mine to work a couple times to keep it exercised. Got a whole bunch of stuff I want to do, and now a few extra bucks to do it with. 10 and 12 hour days will wear you down but it builds the bank account.
BTW - is tomorrow "Drive your Vette to work" day? (Or am I messed up on the date?) I'm off for a few days now, but some Vette mileage is in the plans anyway.
I have not had a chance to look the back pages of this forum over yet, but hopefully the cat and dog are still swiping at each other - can't wait to throw gas on the fire
It's good to be back!

Friday was drive your vette to work day. I may just drive it to work tomorrow as well.

So I missed Friday. But I guess "drive your Vette all day because you don't have to work today" is better, so tomorrow that's what I'll do!

Hope you waved as you passed by.
Saw a white C-3 in a body shop lot, south side of I-44, east of you, might have been Cuba but not sure. Looked pretty rough but if someone is looking for a project.....
Speaking of "looking for a project", I was amazed in Oklahoma at the number of ancient (and not-so-ancient) pickups and 1-tons sitting in fields waiting for someone to restore or hot-rod them. Saw one, almost covered with weeds, which had the headlights mounted on the fenders which would make it...20's? Many others from 40's and 50's. Ford, Chevy, Dodge, you name it. If I didn't have a '66 Chevy truck in the garage for the past 20 years waiting for me to restore it, I would have been tempted! And you just KNOW that some barn somewhere has a Vette all covered with hay just sleeping there.....

So Friz - what did you do to the cat while I was gone - it's awful quiet in here!

So the dog is suffering a fried jeffofinator, huh? That will cure him of going after the fire hydrants! Having just returned from a state rich in Native American culture, I think we should give the pooch an Indian name - how about "Squatstapee"

It's good to be back! Hope all your Vettes are running well, and hope the local LEO's are suffering radar failure!

You guys are hilarious. I'm nursing a wounded pink doggiecone due to a seemingly innocuous encounter with a fire hydrant, and you two are cutting up. I've shed to the point I need a body wig, I'm panting like I just ran the farkin' Boston Marathon, and I still can't cool off. Where's the sense of compassion?

For your Pink Doggiecone. Meat Scented as well

Fur Coat for your shedding

Ice Bag to keep you COOL

What are friends for??
