The newer body still vipers don't retail resale value like the "original" vipers... I've seen them for as little as ~ $30,000. The body work, labor hours, paint, wheels, lighting etc. might actually put you pretty close (if trying to tackle this conversion).
Even the kit manufacturer is suggesting you don't use a perfectly good C4 with the kit...cause they know how gaff that would be. I could see buying back your totaled car and making a salvaged titled, C4, viper thing...and then listing on craigslist for us to create a thread about someday.

LT1, upgraded brakes and suspension, g6 trans, Mid engine monster
wont look as cool as the c4 but it would be a fun little rocket
