The way I describe the wave is, it is how vette owners show respect to each other and also showing recognition of the great heritage that the corvette holds. It is harder to describe than I thought. :seeya :seeya

Comradery, it shows how close the Corvette community is. Most people who buy a Corvette have been enthusiests for a life time and know of the history, heritage, blood line, etc.
Originally, back in '53, the Corvette was a very rare car (obviously), so whenever two happened to pass or come within sight of each other, they'd wave. It has carried through the last 50 years of automobilia! :seeya

I used to flash my high beams real quick.
Oh wait, you can't do that in a Vette if your lights are not already on.
In just about every other car you can, even with flip-up headlights.
