I'm sorry
I posted this before I had gone back and read over it too.
I wanted to talk about mods versus original.
I wanted to tell you all how I save for my Vette
I wanted to ask if you think the forum is mostly mod oriented or not and if that's a good thing
I'm really getting cold feet about the Renegade
I'm sad my original intake went bad
I guess I was thinking we were all kind of mod happy and might regret it!
Thanks

Original sucks, mods are always better. This forum is sometimes very technical, because the same people post on many forums. There are some more technical people that hang out on other forums more often. That is about the best way I can say it.

The forum is mod-friendly. With certain C4's, it's best to leave them stock as they might be worth something in the future..but with most C4's, mods add to the experience and update the C4. Take my '84..it's never going to be a numbers matching collectible. It's not an investment, it's a toy. The car has it's fair share of mods..I'm considering a proper intake manifold as well. Right now, it has a few mods that have cut down the 1/4 time to 13.6 seconds.

84's are not appreciated by very many people. I wouldn't hesitate when it comes to modifying it.

Modifying cars is a funny thing though. Once it's modded, it tends to be harder to sell. If this is your long-term car, personalize it. If it's just another stepping stone, hold off. Again, it won't regain some value for a while, so I say go for it!

Nothing wrong with keeping it original. Yes your Corvette will be a classic, big dollar car not so much, but then people that shell out 100k+ for C1 and C2 Vettes are kind of nuts too.

The big thing is to just enjoy it as a car.

Most of use older guys will be dead by the time the C4s are worth anything, so I say mod it the way you want it..Let your kids worry about how much its worth when your gone....WW

Reading comprehension is not your strong suit, huh? You've got enough amo there for 5 threads.

Go easy on us, this is a car forum, not mensa club. 1 thing at a time. You need to attack that Renegade mod the same way, 1 thing at a time or you'll have a pile of parts left over

So Cal.

My day is not complete until I read your posts. I am generally laying on the floor laughing uncontrollably from the nOObs threads.

Thank you for your posts.
