Good brand-name rotors should be OK right out of the box. The Raybestos "Professional Grade" and "Advanced Technology" rotors have a statement on the box that no turning is necessary. Other good stock replacement rotors brands are NAPA, Centric, and Brembo.
But I would be careful with "white box" rotors; most all rotors are made in China and it's difficult to say if some of these cheap Chinese rotors are made to spec in terms of run-out.

Personally I have never had a problem just installing straight out of the box, but with most rotors made in China now it may have to be done...If you do have to have Chinese rotors turned then that makes them not a very good deal once you add that to the price..WW
