Cleaning Window Fuzzies
What do you guys use to clean the felt strips along the top edge of the door where the window rubs as it goes up and down. I can see how grit in there can scratch the window, but what do you use to clean them? I wiped a microfiber towel over one and it made a linty mess. What works best without damage or oily residue that gets on the window?
I'm looking for ideas and thought, who best to ask than other car guys.
( My wife said, "Ask the Corvette forum how to clean your crack." Then she realized what she had said.)

X's 2
Once you have them clean and they are dry, a dry "tooth brush" works fine to remove any left over lint. And you thought it would be easy right?
Stay in tune....

I use alcohol pads that you can find in any drug store. I also use them on the rubber part of the windshield wipers to get the grime off of them.

Seeing as you're from Texas and all, this may help

I think I'll help you.
Clean it the same way you brush or floss your teeth.
I wonder how the forum would answer if I would ask:
How do I remove the dust from my hood?
I cleaned the Vette last night and dust settled on it overnight.
Thanks in advance

So, once a month clean them with some Crest and a matchbook cover?

Maybe that works for you. I use the alcohol pads method ... without the pads

Sell the car and get another one. Problem solved.

I tried some kind of alcohol pad once and it was not a success. It was too much like a cotton ball and left strands of cotton/paper or what ever it was made of everywhere. Didn't go but a few inches and gave up because it was putting more 'cotton' on than it was removing anything. Maybe it was a different brand, but it was a mess!

If you roll the window down all the way, you can vacuum them.

Vacuum & toothbrush seem to be the best options so far. Maybe an old T-shirt soaked in alcohol and when dry, de-lint with the toothbrush.
