Default highest mileage

The other day I read about a guy who owns a Volvo 1600 and has racked up close to 2 MILLION miles! I think he did a million without a major rebuild! So it got me thinking ... what`s the highest mileage corvette you guys have ever heard of with or without a rebuild. It kinda pisses me off that a European car can outlast American iron. By the way my 85 has 87977 Kilometers (Canadian) tranlsates to 53000 miles.

My '90 had about 160,000 miles when I bought it, and it still ran great! Where are you from in Canada?

It's always nice to see another Canadian on here! For an '85 thats a really low mileage vette.

Sharp looking rag, advantage of a timeless design. What gave out on the engine?

When I traded my 84 it had 129k on it, but my 90 has a little over 39k so I have a long way to go to rack up some miles.

My 87 has 239,000 on it, original engine that doesn't smoke and it gets driven every day every other week since I bought an 02 ZO6.

How can 239k be the winner when there is one with over 250K

I use a electric pump to change my fliuds. I do my oil every 3000 miles. When I change my engine oil, I pump out 5 quarts of tranny fluid also. Then add 5 new quarts of TF.

JFB.. how bout a pic of your car?

Hi Mike,
How's that electric pump work for you? That's not a bad idea, I use a manual hand pump for my boat engine because the drain plug isn't really accessible.

I like it. The line goes down the dipstick tube. I bought it on ebay. I think it was under 30 bucks. Its 12 volt. Wont work on my daughters 2003 mustang because of the dipstick tube. Works on all mine though.
