AGENT86,

What is the part number for the JL subs you installed?

I want to do the same thing but I want to know the mounting depth of the sub before I order a set. I have not decided on brand yet but the specs of your speakers with let me narrow the field. Thanks for any help you can offer!

I did not cut it. Just made a new mounting plate about the same shape and covered it with the felt type material you use to cover sub boxes.

Nope never thought about cutting the factory carpet. My box and the carpet on it is independent. If the box was pulled you never would have known it was in there.

im stating to the stereo in my 91 and i had some old kicker L5's i got in 2001 that i didnt use but a few month 9 years ago lol, so i hooked them up and they still sound new, took all the bose out because they sounded like crap and now it all sounds pretty good but heres the box

It is a Competition Engineering kit for C4. We put it in ourself and it was pretty easy. The car is going to a friend of mine that builds chassis to get the complete cage installed sometime next summer.

Here is a pic from when we were installing it. Cost was around 200 bucks if I remember correct.
