What kind of insurance do you got and with who. Im starting to look around to see which company has the best rates with best service. Plus I am tired of those give me money and we will give $1000 if your car gets totaled out companys.
I can pay up to $300 a month if need be so any good ideas will be nice.
It's next to impossible to compare insurance rates with others.
There are way too many variables involved in calculating rates.
Age, Location, Driving Record, Multi-Car, Multi-Line, Credit Score, etc.
And yes, credit score is one of the things "some providers" use these days.
With that said, I pay $104 a month for all of my vehicles combined.
1996 Corvette, 2000 Silverado, 2009 Equinox
State Farm, full coverage on all of them.
Don't forget to tell about how good there service is. I would not mind paying money for great service and a living person when I call them.
Great service is a must for me. I have house, cars, and motorcycle insured with State Farm. My agents are a husband and wife team operating out of their own office. I have the option to put the autos and M/C on suspension when I am not going to be driving them. If I need to drive one of them for a few days to a week I just call them and I am good to go. That's a great option if you have (too many) cars like I do.
Since they have their own office I can stop by and and do changes of add on's ect. I am talking to real people and we have established a good relationship.
I have had claims on both home (flooding) and auto (hit in parking lot of course) and everything was to my satisfaction.
With this being said, the premiums are competitive with other major companies, and the customer service is outstanding.

$300 a month-for one car? how many cars? what's your age, and is the Vette a DD?

Same here on all accounts. I've been with State Farm for over 30 years. I've had a few claims over the years, all handled quite satisfactorily. The only exception is Marco, which I have insured through Adam Boca at NCM.

As an example many years ago I lived in VA, car insurance for a plane jane v6 rustang was $600/6mth. I moved to just outside of Atlanta and my insurance went up 50% with the same company, same coverage!
I'm not with them any more and the Mustang is gone, on my 92 its about $800/6mth.
Join AAA and use their insurance, you'll get a decent rate and good service, I don't have AAA Insurance, but I use AAA as my agent for Liberty Mutual, for four cars(2 vettes,06 Mustang and 05 Power Wagon) it's $4000 a year with full coverage on the Mustang and truck and the maximum limits for liability etc.
Don't skimp on your insurance. My neighbor had her parked car get run over by a heavily medicated woman who had run a red light, hit another car, jumped a curb and hit a park bench before landing on top of my neighbors car.
The woman only had $5000 in property damage coverage and was well over that with the damage she did.
My neighbor contacted her insurance company and put a claim in for uninsured/underinsured and was told she could get $2500 for her car. With the other woman's insurance, she'd be lucky to get $1500. Her car was worth about $5000, so she isn't too happy, and she didn't even do anything wrong except go to work that day.
If you keep your coverages up, you'll make out better in the long run should something go wrong.

I just got my new (to me ) 1990 supercharged coupe, & got it insured with my regular company ( State Farm), with an agreed upon value of $26,000 at a cost of $175.00 every 6 months. I think thats a great price for the coverage.
