Here Again..., is a Video I made years ago showing proof that Both Corsa exhaust tips do Function. I also, posted this in the C4 Tech/Perf section.
Many members here Insist that the outer tips are dummy's, probably confused by this picture which if you look very closely, you can see a small diameter exhaust tube (circled) that flows exhaust inside and Around the baffle and exits out of the outer tip. This exhaust flow is not for Performance but, is part of the muffler design to eliminate Resonance.
Anyways, This Corsa system is installed on my "91" L98. The tennis ***** are a perfect fit and are pressed in tight.
Here you can see the exhaust flow by watching the attached Ribbons.
Here you can see the Primary tips blocked by the Tennis ***** and the Outer tips still flowing exhaust. This exhaust flow (or leak) is very minimal and is used in part to help eliminate Resonance.
I guess I'm blind- looked like the inner ribbons were going nuts and the outers were gettin a slight breeze. The picture looks like it's plugged to me, a poorly designed plug that allows exhaust to pass.
I wonder if there would be any benefit from opening up the other one with a drill bit or something??
I used to have some Borla's that were both open. It sounded great..

You're not blind bro. Most think that the outer Corsa tips are non-functional period. All though they are not a true dual flow; the video shows that they are NOT a dummy tip
What is the point of this? If the outer tip didn't flow, it wouldn't make any performance difference, since the tip internal diameter is the same as the rest of the system. So there's no restriction from the fact that most of the flow goes through the inner tip.
It does have the ability to flow. But in practical terms, you only get sooty crap on the inner tip. And in the winter you only see vapor out of the inner tip. So in most of the sense that people care, the outer tip is not functional.
