I've been working on my doors and had the panels off to replace the regulator on the drivers side and to do the panel fix so it had been parked in my carport for a few months. Ive been away from Alabama for a lot of that time as well. Dont wanna drive it much because I need two new rear tires too. I loaded it on a trailer and moved the car to Jacksonville ahead of me finalizing the relocation back. When I got it off the trailer I decided to drive it despite the panel being off and bald tires. Drove about 30 miles around the I-295 loop with the targa off in 95* heat sweating ballz all the way. Man it was a blast! I miss my car, even hot as it is, gotta get it fixed and shoed!
Excuse the ramble but I know y'all will understand.
Glad you got the 'Vette out! It does feel good to get back into it, start it up and feel that cool little body twist from the torque on the first turn of the key. You know she's ready to roll! And then, of course, there's the on-ramp. Gotta keep it healthy and no harm in putting some gentle pressure into the pedal and listening to the moan of a small block Chevy winding up.
MMmm Hmmm I knew my buds here would understand I am gonna get rid of the 11" rims and back off to 9.5's to be able to rotate the tires. The 275's are a little cheaper that the 315's too. I hafta sort out the aftermarket PDLs to make it work with the OEM wiring and buttons I got. Then I can button up the doors. I can still make the high speed donut run on sunday with the grandson Well not too high speed 'cause of the tires anyway.
