New Guy Question
Hello, I'm new to the board. Just found it tonight. I'm in the market for a used corvette. I'm looking at a 1987 Convertible. Any suggestions on some key things or issues I should look out for? I appreciate any advice.

as the car is nearly 25 years old, you should expect a number of issues.
Assuming the engine/tranny/rear are in good shape …
Some things to look out for:
Digital dash
Antenna motor
Headlight motors
Window motors
Switches (windows, door lock, HVAC, dash)

I used to own an 87 vert. Really liked it except that the choices for custom wheels were limited. There are more choices is custom wheels out there for the 88 and later C4s as they came with 17" wheels (exception was 88 base) and different backspacing than the 84-87 C4s.
In order to run the later style wheels on the 84-87 you usually must run wheel spacers.
