Before degreasing front:
After (also painted aftermarket shocks the correct Delco black (non-Z51 car):
Previous owner had painted suspension links black:
Refinished correct aluminum color:

Refinished/restored OEM 8.5" wide (again non-Z51) '85 rims and OEM 255-50-16 Gatorbacks installed:

Looks great. What did you use to clean the chassis? Mine needs a little clean up too in those areas. Wheels came out very nice too.

I used CRC Brakeleen Brake Cleaner from O'Reilly.
O'Reilly had it on sale for $2.50 a can...usually closer to $4 a can ($3.90 I think usually).
Went thru close to 8 cans. Still feeling a little light headed today...

Great job.
On those rims, did you use paint-stripper on the clear-coat and then just polished them? I have a set that needs attention badly. Yours look wonderful.
