According to news reports, the cops had found him with a 15 year old girl in a parking lot about 6:30 AM, and gave him tickets for possession of alcohol and a small amount of marijuana. They said he did not appear to be under the influence of either. The girl was picked up by her father (bet he's mighty glad she wasn't still in the car!) and the kid was let go. This crash happened roughly 15 minutes later. The article says the driver also had a previous ticket for 90 in a 65 mph last year.
There are people who drive a Corvette, and there are Corvette People. There is a difference.

That video was on every news program in the NYC area yesterday. I'm sure he'll be doing the rounds of the morning shows soon.
"Police are investigating what role, if any, speed played in this accident". Are they kidding.

What state gives a ticket for possession of marijuana?? That's usually *** hauled down to the station and impoundment of the vehicle.

Jeebus, that put the "bird" in Firebird for sure! Notice the black mark he leaves on the overpass. For years to come he will be able to see it and go "Owwww my head"

He's lucky (if you can call it luck) that the car hit the pillar on the passenger side, apparently just forward of the passenger compartment. If it had been the driver's side door it would have been Bounty time.
