If you can get the door wide open or keep the windows down, it's just a matter of getting your legs underneath you. If you do some squats and lunges to increase your flexibility, the C4 becomes a lot more manageable.
I lost 25 lbs last year and noticed it got easier.
may go against the grain but I stick my right foot in then flop into the seat and pull my left foot in.
getting out I stick my feat out and scoot up and sit on the sill then with an elbow on the each upper corner heave my self up.

Its not that bad, unless you have a bad back or something... I use my Vette as a daily driver and I have no problems. I personally love the fact that there are high door sills. Its like getting into a race car. It makes the Vette that much more different/special! Even my friends dont have that much trouble. They ask how to get out, but never ask how to get in
I have minor back issues. For me, it's right foot in, plant bottom, left leg in. For exiting, set my left foot out, I place my left hand on the padded part of the sill and push myself out. Don't use the back of the seat to push on, it will make the seat develop a rocking motion. Not too big a deal except on days with a lot of pain and it's not my DD either. But it's not bad enough to quit driving it!
Find someoen with one and try it a few times to see if it'll be uncomfortable for you. And next time take pics of said slender, young blonde woman, especially in short skirts!

This is my method also. I'm 66 - 200# don't have any health issues. This is why I like the C4, it doesn't cater to those "Caddy" folks I love to drive and this car delivers
I have the sport seats with the extra bolster and controls so far they have no tears or rips. I try my best not to slide into the seat as it can tear and stuff the foam bolster.
Left leg in and almost hoist myself in so as I don't sit/crush on the bolster as i get in. I find having the steering one up from the middle position helps. Once inside its quite comfortable apart from the fact there is no room for your left leg as its a right hand drive converted car.
Well i have never had any issues getting in and out, well passengers have said its awkward
I will say this they would never ever in a million years have thought of anyone needing drive sitting on the right side
Trying to drive fast while sitting there with your knees and ankles touching
I cannot work out how you can even drive a manual
Imagine guys 3 pedals there
I'm probably one of the biggest, (if not THE biggest) C4 owner here. I have found my C4 is easier for me to get in & out of than a buddy's C5. People ask me how I get in & out I tell them I let gravity take over gettin' in. Gettin' out is an art.
I always tell my wife, "We can park in any handicapped space anywhere in the USA!" When people see us trying to get out of our '96 LT4, they will say, "I feel sorry for those two people trying to get out of their car." What makes it worse, is when your hauling yourself out, you get half way out and you start laughing about how awkward/difficult it is and then you lose all your strength. These cars are all about fun, and I wouldn't trade the experience for anything else!
