Greetings,
Can anyone tell me with certainty where the A/C (air conditioning) relay is on a 1990 coupe? I've been going nuts....Some say under the driver dash, or passenger. Some say on the firewall near the battery. I must be crazy, but I don't see it. I've been looking for info for a week. I will have to get a FSM if I can't locate it, but i have a 1986, and a 1991 already. There are 2 relays under the driver dash, I think the Starter and Fuel Pump relays.

Any and all help is appreciated.

I assume you are talking about the compressor clutch relay. It is located under the dash on the left side of the steering column along side the starter enable relay. On the right side of the column there are the fuel pump and amplifier relays. The AC clutch relay is closest to the outside of the car. Did I say under the dash... waaaayyyyy up under the dash.
Take the driver seat out, remove the carpeted knee pad, then remove the aluminum knee plate.
Now with a light you might be able to see up far enough to see the relay. I found mine after I dropped the steering column for another repair and then I found the 4 relays and the directional flasher. Right where the FSM said.....

If you provide 12V to the non-black connector on top of the A/C compressor, the clutch will engage. Pic attached shows connector opened and a jumper from the +12 side of the battery applied to the a/c clutch.
