Default Crank no start

Need help-just installed a new engine, new injectors, new ign module , spray ether and engine starts right up and runs perfect. W/o ether it cranks, cranks, cranks, like no fuel to injectors-eventually will start, 40lbs pressure at rail, checked injectures with light they are pulsing as it cranks-new fuel pump relays-any ideas

Engines require hot spark, spark at the right time, fuel and air and in the correct ratio and cylinder compression in order to start and continue to run. Since you can get it to start with starting fluid and it continues to run after starting this way, you have spark, fuel and air and cylinder compression. What you don't have is fuel during cranking. Watch the fuel pressure during cranking, I doubt you have any. The fuel pump is turned on for 2 seconds by the ECM when you turn on the ignition. The fuel pump will come on if the ECM receives reference pulses from the distributor during cranking and running and the fuel pump will be turn on by the oil pressure switch when the oil pressure exceeds 4 psi. I recommend watching the fuel pressure and the voltage on the fuel pump during a normal start and see if you have 12v on the fuel pump and normal fuel pressure (35-42 psi) during cranking.
