Default Wheel Information

I read many posts on the wheels that are available. I want to go with the widest and most sinister looking set up I can. Just so I order the right wheels, what width and offsets do you recommend so it will look good and work the best ? Not decided on 17" 18" or 19" rims. I just want to get it right. I have seen pics of set ups that I liked but they had no size info. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Looking for a nice flush to the fender look.

5-8k will get you the baddest for the wheels then add tires.

Since you didn't any price range, check out Fiskes, Forgeline or Cray wheels made specifically for the Vettes.

Black is usually considered the most sinister looking color, so you could go with a set of 96 GS A molds. The are other aftermarket suppliers who also have black wheels. I would go no more than 18".

If you are going to do black, make sure they are something other than just solid black. There needs to be a lip, a stripe, something, ANYTHING to separate the wheel from the tire. If there isn't it usually just looks cheap. As far as width goes, anything bigger than a 315 is going to stick too far out and look

Fikse's holding a big sale right now and 18" FM5s look pretty mean on a C4... Observe

What do ya'll consider 'sticking' out past the fender- flush with the top is about 1" past stock- but when it's flush with the top, it's out quite a bit on the sides (road rash?).

A 315 is well over 1" wider than stock 285, almost 1.5" more than a 275 (stock rears on many C4 models).

These are my 315s (note that the car also has fender flares). The road rash is awful so if you really care about the paint and what it looks like I wouldn't recommend it. There are quite a few people in here who have 315s on the rear. There was a whole thread about it not long ago that I ma sure you could find with a search... I'm just too lazy to do it right now.

That's ok, I'm too lazy to read it

That's what I thought- I see many people saying they have 315's and their tires don't stick out. At that angle of your photo, even with the flares, it looks like it's out a bit, of course that could be due to the wheel offset.

Just checkin- you proved my point

Unless you have a ZR1 (36mm offset), all 315s on regular C4 stick out.

315/35ZR17 with 11" wheel with 50mm offset

Big time - Any of our wheels in a 17 X 9.5 F/18 X 10.5 R is currently only $3,100 for the set. Normal pricing would be about $4,000.
