Can't blame you Olcrusty, but I'm sticking around. You have a point. There are many lazy people and I've even told them to use the search function and been rebutted for it (the guy with the vats problem). "I need it now", and the forum accomodated him!
Let's face it, America sure ain't what it was thirty or even twenty years ago! Look where we're headed!
I couldn't agree more ol' crusty, people are asking very stupid questions which I ignore, if they are too lazy to check for themselves they won't get any help from me. We also have a senior member who is apparently trying to take over CFI-EFI's position but he doesn't have the intelligence to do so. All I can say is, check your friendship list before signing off. We can ignore the idiots and still have a good time.
Midnight said and meant that.
So, I just gave a quick conversion for metric to Imperial in the tire question thread.
You can refer to me by name if you like. No need to give subliminal messages.

Good people, dumb posts. I know I've made a few.
Good people, fractured grammar. I just smile and am glad I know the difference.
As long as I can learn stuff and enjoy our cars, the humour, the squabbles and the friendships, I believe I can stick around and tolerate the few who just don't appreciate what is available here or the few who can't be gracious when help is offered.
It's an open forum and we don't control who comes in the door, but I have the power to choose who to read and follow through with.
I'm sorry Al feels that way. I'll miss him but we all make choices. I hope he reconsiders....
As a newbie with the forum I'd hate to see a good reference source leave. I haven't really posted much on here but I do look at what others post and it's helped me with my 92.
All of you senior members are a great source of info but if I could make a suggestion...look at the post, give a comment and just leave it alone, if the person needing advice becomes a jerk just have his post flagged and the person removed (not sure if the powers that be can do it). But like I said, you all are a terrific source of information for those of us that are new to the Corvette. I am by no means a mechanic but after reading a few postings I kind of know my way around the engine compartment and know what to look for if certain issues come up.
Ol' Crusty I don't know you (or anyone else on here for that matter) but I know that you have a love for the car and quite possibly you like to "teach" those of us who are lacking Vette skills...don't go is all I can ask.
I hate to see anyone drop out. While I can agree there is a lot of stupidity, ignorance, and arrogance on here it is outwieghed by the benefits. There are a lot of good people on here and a vast wealthy of knowledge. It is still a very worthwhile site with a lot of nice advantages.
(gee, I hope my spelling and grammar are OK. If not that is OK because I really don't care).

What I find interesting is that the newer members ( many obviously younger as evidenced by txt style 500 word questions with no punctuation or full stops ) can navigate the web , use Facebook , send videos from their cell phone , etc but are unable to do a simple Google or Forum search that would probably get a answer for 90% of their problems
