Default Poor 1990 vettes

I'm happy and sad about what I'm seeing in the part sale section. I see a lot of 1990 vettes being parted out. It is great for me because I need some hard to find part. But, it sad to see so many getting torn apart. Let hope the value of my baby goes up now.

Some owners let there cars go down hill so long that it just doesn't make sense to try to get them back on the road again. Makes me mad if they aren't going to take care of their car, go buy some cheap import and let that piece of crap end up in the junkyard.
The value of these cars won't be going up anytime soon.

They won't last forever if you don't keep up with the repairs. Parts cars are going to be necessary to keep the good ones going.

I remember finding 60's and 70's camaros and firebirds in the junkyards all day every day. Not so much anymore. Having your own parts car is the best if you have a place to keep it.

Unfortunately there isn't much to say about the car. It's not especially desirable yet and there really is little indication, right now anyway, that it ever will be.

Desirable Corvettes are either classics with high resale vs the costs of repair and maintenance or NEW........... 1990 just doesn't fit either category so it's destined to be a driver of little dollar value.

Things get sticky when you realize the costs concerning maintaining a 1990 when things start to really go wrong.

It can very quickly become a losing proposition to keep a 1990 Corvette going if it's been neglected. That first really major repair could spell the end of the road.

That would be true of any C4

And why would a '90 cost any more to fix than any other MY?

The 90 may very well turn out to be one of the few base models that is of at least some interest.

It's the ony C4 that has design elements from all years.

1990 Vettes are very well built Vettes. Seems like people drive em till the wheels fall off and instead of fixing the wear and tear issues with a 20 year old car they just throw em away.

For the sake of arguement, since the 2011's came out, doesn't that make the 2010's one year old? Of course we could split the difference.
