Default Chrome Wheels for C-4

I currently have stock wheels for my 1988 C-4. The car has silver paint and in awesome shape. I am debating weather or not to buy chrome wheels for the car.

I recently saw a c-4 with chrome wheels and did not care for it. I don't want to buy the wheels and spend all that money and not like them. Can you readers supply me with some pictures of your c-4 with chrome wheels so it will halp me make my decision? I would like pictures of stock wheels that have been rechromed if possible.

thanks

although I don't have a picture...black chrome might look pretty on a silver car.

Those and gun metal make a great combo for silver, white and yellow Vettes

I've yet to see this on a C4, I want to try it out but have nothing chrome to use. Duplicolor kit looks pretty neat.

I'd probably go with black paint w/polished lip wheels vs. chrome on a silver car. I'm not much of a chrome-type person.

Post up some pix of your car and the intended wheels. Maybe somebody can photoshop it for you...

There are also some wheel and tires sites that have a virtual car section that you can pick your car and its color and put different wheels on it. I will look and see if I can find the site..WW

I went the polished route. It is not hard to maintain, but the best part is that it can be repaired if it gets scratched, whereas chrome cannot.

Once a year I spend about an hour and use a bucket of rags and a can of Flitz to polish it up and protect it and good-to-go.

Here is a pic of my Medium Gray Metallic 84, I know it's not silver, but may give you an idea what yours may look like...I have gotten alot of compliments on my combination.

I went with chrome zr1s. I know, it's been overdone, but I like it. Especially since I hated the stock 87 wheels.

I don't have a picture of my Vette (I'm at w--k). My '85 has the stock wheels that have been chromed. They look alot better then stock (I think), but there are the times when I think of other aftermarket wheels. (Wishful thinking)

I think chrome rims look better on darker colours.

If it weren't raining this moment, I'd take some rear shots. These flares cover the 315's so well, one could drop a string from the flare and there would be a straight line from the edge of the flare to the bottom of the tire.

I got these flares from Vette Daddy. They come in two pieces: GS flares and Euro extensions. Overall quality was great, but the body guy had to do some prep work before painting. He installed them so they can be removed without damage to the body.

Have you looked in the Photo Albums at the top of the page under C4 wheels and tires. There are a lot of combinations of cars and wheels in that section.

If you go into my profile and under my friends (JSLS0130) he has a silver 96 with black wheels and a polished lip that looks real nice. Sorry I would have posted it but don't know how to get it and post it here.
