IMO, if you are really digging the look of it then I would paint it on, if your not sure 100% than get decals and after a few months with decals and you are satisfied then paint it. I am not into yellow but I really must say I like how it looks. I would also personally get the GS stripe on the driver's side fender in black to.
I have a black car I just got painted and I have been deciding to get a satin black rally stripe or something similar down the middle. but haven't decided yet.

Any Black Rim would go good with the yellow w/black stripe Ive seen a lot of yellow vettes with black rims and black b pillar and top it looks good.
