If it is just the bushings it is an easy 1 hour do it yourself job.

I just did both of my 85 motors a few months ago. They are quite easy to do. The only bad part is you have to remove the entire headlight assembly from the hood. It's only about 5-6 bolts though. Just mark the heads of the bolts/nuts before removing them. Then go take the unit to a work bench, pull the motor off, open it up, and replace the plastic gears and/or bushings. Clean and lube the gears, housings, bushings etc. while you are in there. Slap it back together.

Check out this link. Walks you right through it. Don't spend upwards of $300 per unit for $5 bushings.

Agreed 100 percent. DON'T replace the motors unless you do the bushings first and you know for sure. Odds are its just the bushings. I did the stupid route years back dealing with the shady a55holes at O'Rielly Chevrolet and it cost me about a grand for both headlights. Their excuse for not informing me of the bushings first was "They don't support aftermarket solutions".

The stock lamps in your headlights are too heavy and usually wear out the bushings first from the continuous strain of the headlight flip before the motors ever go. Cheap and relatively easy fix.
