txt msg disaster
I recently posted a new thread here about "text messaging" and my negative opinion of it on this forum. My mistake! It was closed very early on because of some sarcastic and dumb replies by a few idiots here. I don't really care what people do with texting any place else, but on a forum like this one, I think that spelling out the message completely will help get the message across better and get informative replies. I made two typos myself by mistake. Big deal. But at least they were in complete sentences and no one had any problem understanding what I meant.

I have never seen that here. 
I talked to a recruiter for a number of large companies and he told me that they are starting to recruit older people because they can write complete sentences. They have problems with the younger employees because they write memos and letters that are embarrassing to the company. It is fine to text, but they try and use the same messaging in business correspondence. I knew what he meant because my nieces text me and it is hilarious.
