When I exit my car I've noticed the security light comes on and flashes, also my alarm hasn't been working for about a week. :cry Anyone know whats going on?

This is an April Fool right?

Anyway, it's supposed to flash when you exit the car. To set the alarm, open the driver's door, get out, slide the door lock switch to the lock position, check you have your keys in your hand, close the door. The security light should stay solid for about 3 seconds and then go out - your alarm is armed.

Mine is currently intermittent - one time out of 15 ish, the alarm works, the rest of the time the security light just still flashes after I lock the door.

You need to lock the door with the power locks to arm it. Once locked the light stays solid, and will shut off as you said when you shut the door.
