Default That cool fall air...

I know cooler air means a denser charge but the difference in performance between an ambient temp of 80* vs 50* feels pretty notable. Seems the LT1 absolutely loves the cool air - am I crazy to think it feels like a solid 20-30hp difference? I almost think this is what a hotcam would feel like vs the stocker in there now. This extra little bit of oomph really makes me want to get my head/cam project underway but I need to enjoy this last month or so of driving weather first!

The tb coolant bypass really makes a difference in cool weather. It feels like I put some lower gears in during the winter.

Cooler temperatures make for: denser air = more power, more lift = aircraft climb better.
That said; I hate fall, give me warmer weather. Is it summer yet?

I was just saying this to my friend, another forum member.
I too, love the cooler weather, and apparent HP gain that comes with it.

I guess we'll see just how much difference the cool fall air makes for an LT1 this coming Saturday: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/grea...orocco-in.html.

Hey James, check out the link and take a look at JeffC5's car. He's our club president. I was in the parking lot this past weekend when fired that thing up and left the meeting place. Holy Smokes!

Hmmmmm.... I was just informed that my Saturday is free and clear. Wifey and daughter are gone, I thought I was gong too. Guess not.

Maybe I will go.
I'm wondering how a 91 vert would do against a 92 White coupe?
Wanna bet?
