What is the first year that the C4 came stock with aluminum heads?
Why I ask is the 2002 Z06 comes stock with 405 hp. I would think that if you change out the stock C4 aluminum heads for a set of AFR or trick flow heads, and stroke the 350 to a 383, you would have around 430 hp. Has anyone done this and it passed smog? "California smog"

You can pass Ca smog with a bigger motor than that just depends whats inside it. Was in the process of doing a mild but high torque 406 for my 89 that I sold a few yrs back guarantee it woulda passed.
