door panel repairs
SInce it was a nice day today, I finally decided to work on my door panels. I installed new anti rattle cushions for the windows, new power door lock switch bezels, and new white plastic inserts, (10 per door), that the screws thread into,(the old ones were shot, nothing to screw into anymore). Took the courtesy lights apart, changed the bulbs, and cleaned out the white plastic lense really good. Lubed up the regulator ribbon with white lithium grease. Spent about 4 hours total.
Really satisfied with everything. When you slam the door shut with the window down, no more rattles
Driving over bumpy roads with the windows down, or half way down, also no more rattles. Was so happy. Pull into the gas station, shut off car, fuel up. When I start the car back up, yep you guessed it, to good to be true,something has to go wrong, the LCD dispaly is dark.
WTF. Hit the top of the dash and it lights up
You gotta love these cars.
