Starting Problem, 93 LT 1
And once again I turn to the brain trust for help.
Our 93 was last driven about 2 1/2 weeks ago. Everything was fine then.
Yesterday I went to start it and move to another portion of the garage.
It cranks, fires but won't stay running. If I hold the accelerator pedal down a tad it will start and stay running but just as soon as I let up on the pedal it stalls.
Thank you for your help.

Sounds like a vacuum line off or broken.
Could be IAC(idle air control) or bad injectors(leaking).
For people w/92-93, I always say get a FSM. I have had both and they are unique in some ways, plus the ECM's are a real problem.
First. Mr GNF 1953. I tried and tried to respond to the private message you sent me but it would not send. I'm sure the problem is with me being the computer idiot that I am.
I don't know if the fuel filter has ever been changed. The guy I bought the car from
( May 2010 ) was the second owner and kept no records of anything. Or at least so he said. Maybe he did but didn't want me to see what's been done. It is now totally obvious he lied about many other things.
Back to the starting problem. The next day I tried and it started and ran normal. Tried about 4 times throughout the day. Each start was normal. Have yet to try today.
I spoke with my ACE mechanic, a guy with many, many years as a Chevy mechanic now on his own. He thought it was a brief computer issue and it needed a reset which was done by starting and stopping a few times.
She will be going into winter sleep any day now so maybe the problem is gone or maybe it will show up next spring.
Thanks for helping me.
