I stopped at my Social Club today (again). Everyone there knows me and the Vette. When I have a drink Kathy drives so I know what the pass door looks like. When we went out to the car to leave there is a 1/4 inch chip in the door molding. I went back inside and asked who owned the car parked next to me, no answers. An Officer of the Club went out with me and after opening the other car's door it lined up perfectly with the damage. We went back in and found out who owned the car and they argued that they were there before us. Hubby even came out and saw the evidence. Of course he and the wife denied any responsibility.
I have to state the wife is huge. 300# at least. Her Sunfire door would have to be ALL the way open for her to get out.
It is not the damage that bothers me, it is the denial of responsibility. I can fix the chip easily, so that isn't the issue. Many of the Members have $30-40k vehicles but my C4 gets the damage. Rant Off
Where ever I park my vette, a moron is soon to be near by.
I've had shopping carts up against both of my Vettes. One scratched the 84s passenger front bumper below the cornering light. The other didn't do anything with the 90. Did I mention that this happened at Wal-Mart parking lots? Good luck with the repairs.
It can be filled in and touched up for very short money and you will be good as new again.
On the other side of the coin, the perp will still be a 300lb liar who probably is disgusted with their life. Look at it that way and you will feel better.
When I park in a large lot, I pick a spot well away from all other cars. More often than not, when I return, someone has found it necessary to park right next to my car, even though there are many spaces closer to the store. What's up with that?

Well, now I'm all disappointed. I thought it was due to my animal magnetism, or something.

This reminds me of a previous coworker. I pulled up walked away from my car.I had something sitting on the seat. I had to walk around the pass side to get it and there was no dent. When I came back there was a dent in the door.
The only cars around were mine and his. I noticed his was backed into the slot directly behind the spot where someone would have parked to damage my door. I went over and he had a scratch on the edge of the door that looked fresh. I measured it with a measuring tape and it matched. I then confronted him about it. He denied it forgetting I'm IT. I pulled up the camera footage. He drives up open the door begins to exit the truck. Then for no apparent reason he gets back in the truck and backs up to the other space. When I asked him about it he said he changed his mind about the parking spot. The video wasn't clear enought to tell but his was the only veh anywhere near my car.

, I do the same thing and for the life of me I can't understand why people feel the need to park right next to me.

I have a 11 year old Mazda truck. Park at the end of the line in WallyWorld and da** if somebody don't park next to me. It's not just the Corvetts.
I think they need to feel close to another vehicle, Corvette are just more attractive.:o
